Navigating SharePoint - Management Hubs
Management Hubs are specific to a department and folders / documents within these Hubs are only accessible by those within the department or those who have been granted specific access by Technology.
It is down to the Head of Department for each Management Hub to manage and monitor the documents and folder structure within their pages, as well as who has access to them. If you would like to know more about how to manage your department hub page, please speak with a member of the Technology team.

From the Management Hub home page, you can navigate to other areas of the Hub including:
- Conversations - this will open up Microsoft Outlook to the centralised inbox for the department. For more information, refer to the ‘How To guide on Email Management’.
- Documents - this will open the file storage area for your department.
- Notebook - this will open OneNote, which can be used to track notes relevant to the department including minutes from meetings and tasks lists.
- Pages - this will allow you to edit the home page of your management hub and create any additional pages where required.
- Site Contents - provides a summary of the number of files, documents, pages etc...
stored within your management hub.
- Recycle Bin - here you can access any deleted files from your Management Hub. You can chose to empty your recycling bin or restore a file back to its original file if it was deleted by mistake.
- Edit - this is for administration purposes only and should not be accessed without support from Technology.
You can also use the quick links to access all documents or search for a specific
document.
At the bottom of the page is a record of the most recent activity which has taken place in the Management Hub. This also acts as a quick link / search option to drill straight into a file or document from the home page.
